The Middle started as a podcast about job loss. We wanted to highlight the raw stories from real people impacted by the thousands of layoffs and workplace reductions.
But after only a few interviews we realized: while many of our guests had lost their job, that was just one of many middles they were going through.
They were in between who they were, and who they’re becoming. It’s emotional, raw, vulnerable, and a little scary, with lessons learned mixed in.
